What is self-storage?

Quick Self Storage allows you to rent storage space on a month-to-month basis at affordable rates in the Cedarwood office park complex with 24-hour security and access control.

What can I store?

You can store personal and household goods and business items, such as documents, office furniture, excess stock and promotional items, tools and equipment. Any vehicles, small boats, caravans, trailers and motorbikes are welcome.

Prohibited Items?

Tenants may not store food or perishable items, hazardous, flammable, explosive, environmentally harmful or foul-smelling items or anything that might constitute a risk or nuisance to the property, staff or other tenants. No illegal items or stolen property will be tolerated.

Who uses self-storage?

Homeowners, business owners, students, and other individuals and organisations who are currently building or relocating or have excess items of all types.

Where are we located?

Situated in Cedarwood Office Park in the central part of Woodmead and easily accessible from M1 highway, Kelvin drive and Woodmead Drive, this is the perfect solution for your storage needs. Close to all amenities and shopping centres.

When can I access my storage unit?

Access hours are from 08h00 - 17h00 weekdays and Saturdays 09h00 - 15h00. For access outside of business hours, please make an appointment.

Do I require a deposit?

One month’s rental is required as a deposit, refundable as per the terms and conditions of the Lease Agreement.

What is the minimum term of lease?

One calendar month, with a one month’s notice should you wish to terminate.

How does payment work?

You will receive a monthly invoice payable via electronic funds transfer (EFT) by the first of every month. No cash accepted. Cash deposits into our bank account will be charged an additional 3%.

What about insurance?

You are responsible for your own insurance cover.

Is the property safe and secure?

The property is secured with a clear picket fence, surrounded by AAA Corporate Office Parks, with 24/7 permanent guard and gate access. Storage is situated in an office complex with direct accessibility through a servitude to the Western Service Road.

Terms and Conditions

  1. Use and Types of Goods Allowed
    The Storage Unit may not be used as a dwelling, workshop, or shelter. Only movable property, as per the Agreement of Lease, may be stored. No goods that are perishable, illegal, hazardous, a fire risk, explosive, foul smelling, or anything that constitutes a risk or nuisance to the staff or other Tenants of the Storage Units in the Building, in any way, may be stored. Nothing is allowed to be attached to the roof, the roof trusses, rafters or the walls of the Storage Unit or the Building. No animals or goods that may jeopardise the insurance policy of the Landlord for the Building shall be stored.
  2. Access
    Access is available as stated above and by arrangement. The Representative nominated by the Tenant in the Agreement of Lease, will have access to the Storage Unit, in the event that the Tenant is unavailable for any reason. Access will only be granted to the Representative if positive proof of identification is provided, as well as written authority by the Tenant. Both occupation and vacating of the Storage Unit may only take place on weekdays between 08h00 and 17h00 and Saturdays 09h00 to 15h00, unless arranged previously with the Landlord and all outstanding payments have been settled. Please note that clients need to show a form of ID and that this will be recorded.
  3. Locking
    All Storage Units have two bolts’ holes. Padlocks must be provided by the Tenant.
  4. Deposit
    The Tenant must pay the deposit together with the first month’s rental. The deposit will be refunded to the Tenant within twenty-one (21) days after the termination of the lease after deductions are made for unpaid rental, or costs incurred by the Landlord for the repair or cleaning of the Storage Unit, or the removal of any property left in the Storage Unit, should this be necessary. The deposit shall not constitute any rental. Note that a non-refundable administration fee applies as well as a compulsory cleaning fee on termination of the lease.
  5. Insurance and Risk
    It is the Tenant’s responsibility to insure his/her own property in the Storage Unit. However, the Landlord will endeavour at all times to keep the building in which the Storage Unit is located safe.
  6. Fumigation
    The units will be fumigated once a year and no one will be allowed access on the day that fumigation takes place. All tenants will be notified beforehand in writing.
